Holly Cemetery
At the end of the short winding road you will see a hillside present itself to the cemetery. Another of the elevated cemeteries, this one lies on the north side of the river valley and provides a view to the south and the town of Holly which was devastated in the March 2007 tornado that tore through the center of town. Late 19th century and 20th century headstones mark the early days of Holly and its environs of one of the biggest Colorado ranches – the double SS or Holly ranch, early sugar beet production and early introduction of Japanese workers and immigrants in the area.
