Heritage Journey Tours Ready to Guide

Pritchett--  Tours of Picture Canyon and Carrizo Springs Canyon in south western Baca County are now available through Heritage Journey Tours.  Picture Canyon is a showcase for Indian rock art of the plains Indians and the location of Crack Cave one of the most significant archeological equinox sites in the state.  The canyon also houses history from early settlers and homesteaders and truly stands as a crossroads in the west for peoples since the early history.  Carrizo Springs has pristine rock art sites, and is located in an area well suited for birding, wildlife viewing, and scenic drives.  Tours will dig deep into the area history and culture and give the participants a deeper appreciation of the land we inhabit.  Picture Canyon Tours last 1-2hrs and are $35 for adults and $20 for youth 18 and under. Carrizo Springs Tours last 45min-1.5hrs are $25 for adults and $15 for youth 18 and under and.
