The annual ‘Bent On Birding’, ‘Back to Boggsville’, and ‘Heritage Tour’ is scheduled for May 13-16, 2010.
Bent County is one of the greatest areas for bird watching, with thousands of migrating birds, swans, pelicans, sensitive Blue Heron rookeries, and nesting areas of the Least Tern, Piping Plover, nesting Feriginous Hawks, and waterways with night birds, and the Black Rail.
Living History re-enactments, and Back To Boggsville events are being planned. Tours will be led by expert guides and authors, such as birders, John Drummond and Duane Nelson; archaeologists, Richard Carrillo, historians, Don Headlee as ‘Trail Doctor’ or ‘Explorer Pike’
